I dreamt all my hair fell out

The other night I dreamt my hair was coming out in clumps. I have a recurrent dream in which all my teeth tumble right out of my mouth (and I attempt to superglue them back in place) but this was a first.

Thankfully my hair isn't really falling out, but it is breaking. Being as it is fine and dry, my head of straw is a pet peeve of mine. I look after it as best I can but once it hits shoulder length it's a losing battle. I did have long hair down to my bum when I was little but even then there wasn't a lot of it. Against my better judgement I keep trying to grow it but I know it looks a lot fuller when it's short so I'll be paying my hair dresser a visit soon :)

My other half turned blue recently and I am wearing a wig. :)

A while back Elizabeth of Delightfully Tacky wore a pink wig in one of her posts and it was then that I thought: Why the heck not? Two of my colleagues at work are avid wig collectors and always look amazing so I thought I'd join in the fun. I went for heat styleable fibre and spent about 15 quid/25 bucks on my hair adventure. I've always loved fantasy hair (I went purple for a brief spell in college) so of course I had to go for a head of cotton candy first. I am not so certain about the shaggy cut but I am warming up to it. Have any of you guys experimented with wigs?

Happy Easter weekend you all!

  2. Yikes! I also have recurring dreams about my teeth falling out, though I don't try to superglue them back in. Mine just crumble in my mouth and I spit them out in disgusted horror. I wonder what it means?

My hair is similar, and I regularly have panics that I'm going bald. I'm not (i don't think) it's just to thin and soft and there isn't evry much of it. I've been trying to grwo it too, but I#m going back to shoulderlength, because it just isn't happening.

    Love the coloured hair pics!

I love you guys' hair, and your outfit is so pretty too! The collar on that top is adorable!

  6. Love the blue socks with the yellow tights! I've always admired people who can do crazy things with their hair - I'm just not that brave, haha. The shaggy cut on the wig totally reminds me of Twiggy :)

  7. it's a cute wig. My husband used to have blue hair too but that was a long time ago now. I used to have pink hair and pink bangs too back then.
Those shoes are so pretty!!! I wear stockings and socks over them too sometimes (keeps me warmer when it is still chilly out.) so it was cool to see you do that because I didn't know others did so!

  8. I love that pink wig on you - it's the perfect color. I've been wanting to do something like that ever since Kelly Osborne went lavender. I can't dye my hair because it's so dark, but maybe I'll try a wig.

Otherwise, I need you to get out of my head. I wrote a short story years ago about a woman who literally falls apart. Hair, teeth, eyelashes at the local Starbucks. I still think about it quite often, actually. So weird you had that dream.

  9. Thanks :)
That sounds like my kind of twisted story - especially that it's all happening at a coffee chain!

  10. Your outfit is so cool! I love the neckline/collar and springy plaid and little bow pin. The style and color of your wig are great too. I've never dyed my hair or worn a colorful wig (although I've worn brown wigs for plays), but I wouldn't say no to a chance to try a wig!

this is too sweet! All the pastels don't look overly sentimental (something really hard to pull off) and you and your guy look so adorable with candy colored hair :)

  14. Just do it for real! That is the coolest wig I've seen, and I think you really, really suit that haircut too. I'm also loving the blue! On the dream front, stress gives me wacky dreams like that. My teeth usually fall out and once my whole jaw collapsed into my hands. Eek!

  15. I've been thinking about getting my hair cut. I want a curly bob...but to achieve that means a cut and permanent. I'm not a big fan of chemicals on my hair...so a wig might be the answer.

I was certain that your bracelet was one of your excellent vintage finds. Primark, who knew?! Your assemblage of pastels, leg wear layering & red sandals are all delightful. As is the colored hair. I haven't experimented with wigs, though it does seem fun.

Haha, I haven't tried wigs, but the pink really suits you, and I am always vaguely tempted by a pastel pink. : )

Also, love all the detail shots, accessories, and those lovely shoes!

  21. your bracelet looks like carved bakelite!
I've heard that dreams in which your teeth fall out mean you are worried about losing money (not implying anything by this, just what I've heard)

  22. hehe - well I am deeply offended you could suggest such a thing ;)
I was quite surprised at the detail on the bracelet too, usually when I see these plastic bangles around they are a lot less detailed. I wish they stocked them in more colours!

I love all the pretty colors of your outfit here. Really sweet and ready for spring and Easter. You should do some pastel hair style. I think it would look great on you!

  24. oh my gosh i used to have those dreams all the time (hair falling out, teeth crumbling in mouth). someone told me the tooth one meant i was going to come into money--that's a laugh :) i had a blonde wig that got kind of ruined when i wore it as smurfette for halloween one year, but everyone said it looked really good and i should bleach my hair!

i LOVE all of your candy-colored accessories here.
