Running away to join the circus

I took these shots in October but kept putting them back to the bottom of the post pile. I guess I'd had enough of brown tones but now I am really keen on them again (I mainly 'blame' Erin ) :)

There 's not much brown in my closet (or at least not enough to do lots of winter proof layers).
I am on the lookout but I find it quite hard to find warm brown tones. The high street is such a let down when it comes to colour. I don't go shopping often (most of my shopping takes place in this here chair *swivel*) but when I do go shopping all otherwise awesome garments come in two colours: washed out grey or dull, long dead r.i.p. brown. Such a shame but good for my wallet ;)

Golden browns, cozy chestnut and auburn, where are you hiding?

Now for another cup of coffee... happy Sunday!

  5. I hear you. Also black and dark grey= boring. I'm kind of amazed that you have pictures with a circus background and you didn't feel like posting them.. ??? ; )

  8. That first photo is brilliant. I love the contrast between the dark sky and the colorful circus setup.

Beautiful brooch. It reminds me of one I nearly bought a few months ago while on vacation. It was very similar if not identical to yours.

I haven't listened to Kings of Leon in awhile. Might be nice on this lazy Sunday afternoon... How did you end up liking that Sufjan track?

  10. I like both Grizzly Bear and Department of Eagles, so yes, your comment made sense.

While I have my preferences, I am always open to listening to all kinds of music. Electronica isn't something I listen to a lot, but I do like it. I am familiar with Boards of Canada and, at your recommendation, will look up Plaid.

    What a wonderful first photo...

  16. That is so true! I've been looking for a warm cosy sweater for a while now and the main thing that really matters to me is a beautiful bright and bold colour, but after days of shopping: NOTHING. Gah, it's so frustrating but indeed good for the wallet, and I prefer to do thrift shopping anyway, but it's a shame that the latter is mainly based on good luck (of which I have none).

That said, I really adore the first picture. You look gorgeous and there is something about your expression that is nicely intriguing in the photo ^^
