Gobble

I won this sweet little turkey from Huzzah! Vintage. It 's one of Bombshell Bettie's amazing brooches. I've had my eyes on her gorgeous wood backed accessories for a while now so I was grinning from ear to ear when this guy arrived in the post. In time for thanksgiving as well I'll have you know. So of course I wore him to work on the day :)

They do sound funny though. Turkeys that is. Not unlike guinea fowls which I have heard a lot of since our neighbours bred them when I was growing up. They do a grade A impression of a rusty door :D Our dog wasn't particularly keen on them either.

This so is one of those hats you DO NOT take off once you've wedged it on your head. Helmet hair nothing against it. I said so to the other half while sneering at my squashy hair and he commented that I looked like an artist. A male artist. Why thanks. What a charming husband I have. ;)

Nearly the weekend you guys! :)

  1. Well, there's no need to take your hat off when it looks that cute, you do not look like a male artist, haha! Your new brooch is just lovely, perfect for thanksgiving.

  10. A turkey brooch? Hehe, neat! They really are such funny creatures. Quite often I have to stop my car for them as they poke and dawdle across the road.

Helmet hair always brings about the most interesting comments! I do love how cozy this hat looks :)
