Achievable goals

Can you believe it 's 2011 (almost)? I've been an ehem "adult" for more than a decade now, that 's just crazy (I've had a blast, can I stop aging now please? Right here is good).

I have no resolutions for the coming year, no good intentions. That doesn't mean I am goalless but I try not to get hung up on crossing things off lists. Personally I find that plans can get in the way of living. Too much thinking about the future can leave you distant from RIGHT HERE AND NOW. I am with Ferris: Life moves pretty fast and I sure as heck don't want to miss it. I guess that 's a resolution in itself but not one I'd like to date stamp.

Happy New Year you all! Wishing you one full of opportunities, luck and laughter.

Make it count :)

  5. I'm not a "goal" person either- I am more into taking note of what I like and don't like in my life, and trying to adapt and change things gradually.
    Happy New Year!

  7. I never make New Years' Resolutions but this year I did... they might make it onto the blog! ; ) I like yours, date-stamped or no, though I could stand to do a bit more thinking about the future!

On another note: best bright, colourful, perfect and unexpected New Years Day look. I feel happy enough now to look at my essay again...

  8. You wear this color so well. It's so perfectly bright and cheerful. Love it!

I tend not to make resolutions much either. The idea has always seemed a bit ridiculous to me. That's not to say I'm not a fan of the fresh start each new year brings, but goals and self-improvement should be focused on all year long and not just when all of society jumps on the bandwagon.

I'm with you - make it count! :)

  9. woah. I just saw double for a second. my mind must be going as I get ollllder. Yey for your spirit of how you do resolutions. I don't make any either and think as you do on that. Nice to see someone make an entry like this because I grow bored of hearing how people want to lose weight and not eat too much chocolate or something like that.
