The Edge of Love

I watched The Edge of Love (2008) after seeing a few of the outfits and as it were that was pretty much all I liked about it. That said I am not usually one for soppy flicks, dislike love triangles and don't go in for the half naked girlfriends bonding/lesbian frisson scenes either. And IMO that's pretty much all the film has to offer apart from lovely costumes.

I went on a cardigan google marathon a few days ago leading me to a post about the movie on Penny Dreadful. This film sure contains exceptional knit wear. I figured I might as well fast forward through it one last time to go screen cap mad. Here is the loot:

See why I went on about wanting to knit a cardi? This is what sparked my knitting ambitions, especially as soon as there is a near identical pattern right here.

It'll come as no surprise to you, I'd also like to knit a sweater like this.

Well, we're halfway through week 44 of 2010. It'll be the International Year of Forests soon but first comes Christmas! The rest of the week first though ;) Have a good one!

  1. Yeah, I haven't seen that movie because it looks kind of bad, but I might see if I can download it just for the costumes. I'm like a sweater fiend right now, just wanting more more more! And so many yellow ones!

  6. The exceptional knitwear and other terrific costume elements were about the only things this film had going for it. I'm not sure I could have subjected myself to a second watch even for screen caps! ;)
